The Sunday brunch was quite tasty, with delicious egg and sausage selections, good pasta and delicious roast beef, plus a dessert selection.
Greg, Thank you for providing an amazing experience for my parents this Valentine's day. V's has always been a favorite for me. The atmosphere is the best! Prime rib is oh so tender and delish. So many favorites. The pasta bar, Sunday Brunch. I'm never disappointed. Tonight, however, was a wonderful time!!!!
Their food is amazing. The house salad is my favorite. The main course has always been delicious no matter what I order. Then, you get CAKE. Amazing cake. Do yourself a favor and go there.
Spur of the moment decision to make a quick reservation and glad we did. Food was excellent as always since I grew up with V's. The baked lasagna was superb, and 8 oz. Cut of prime rib perfectly cooked. Natalie took care of the hospitality and was on mark. Great meal and memories, a must try. I brought a bus tour group here and we had a great experience. Greg was a pleasure to work with in setting up the dinner, and the food was excellent. V's has an attractive, pleasant, and quiet atmosphere that was just right for our group.
Service was excellent but food is rather bland. Decent wine selection. Complimentary rum cake was dry and had no rum taste.
My friend and I visited V's this afternoon around 1:30 pm and ordered 2 glasses of wine and the calamari appetizer. The calamari came out over 30 minutes later and was extremely rubbery (didn't seem to be actually calamari at all), soggy and gross. My friend and I took one bite each and sent it back to the server, who was pretty rude and didn't bother to apologize or even take it off the ticket. When we asked the server to remove the item from the check, she said "well I gave it to you half price" - this was during happy hour, so all appetizers were automatically half price. Overall a terrible experience, absolutely will not return.
What a great experience! Passing through and looked for something off the path just a little bit. The service was great, prompt and friendly! The owner, Momma V came by and said hello and struck up a conversation, she was such a sweetheart. The atmosphere was very homey and inviting. Our food came promptly and was delicious! The calamari appetizer was to die for! I can see driving back (over an hour) just to have a special supper for sure. Would highly recommend!
Excellent staff and customer service as always. Explained the new distancing and cleaning policies to ensure a safe dining experience. Also took the time to give a brief tour of the new environment.
Delicious as always. If you haven't been, stop in and try for yourself. Highly recommend
Service and food was top notch. Highly recommend! I got the chicken parm and wife got the seafood fettuccini alfredo.
What a great place! We had a family dinner buffet (25 people) in our own room. We had the "Southern" menu with brisket and fried chicken. Truly delicious. Service was great too. I highly recommend it for your family dinner.
Kind place a home away fromHome! Greg & staff & Richard are simply amazing !
A lovely place to have a delicious meal. A group of friends came here and ordered steaks and pasta. All turned out wonderfully. Service was A1 as well.
Vs is the real deal, authentic Italian. The restaurant has a quiet, charming, old world atmosphere - perfect for actually communicating and interacting with your companions over an amazing, "home cooked" meal. The menu has a variety of choices for any palette or dietary restrictions. Save room for dessert - the rum cake is delicious. V's has been around for decades. Delicious Italian fair that has the home cooked feel and taste. Only one - not a chain. Brunch is outstanding!
My husband and I got food here a few weeks ago and loved it so we revisited tonight (pick up). We ordered over the phone the same meal we got last time. Last time we were asked if we wanted fried and grilled chicken, this time we weren’t asked and when we got home much to our sadness we saw fried chicken instead of grilled. If we had known, or remembered we would have said something but we are still new customers. We will revisit again, but please verify with every order to avoid this happening to other guests. $50 spent and all we could eat was the pasta 😕 gotta go cook some protein now....
I celebrated my birthday this evening in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we had a superb evening and the venue was absolutely one of the reasons for the successful meeting. The crew cooperated in a splendid style, the cuisine was tasty and my buddies were so pleased. We shall no dout return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
The food was amazing! Great environment and great service. I loved it!
Richard was our server and did great. The salads are awesome. I would upgrade to the Cesar if asked. The bread was good. We had chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and Chicken spiedini. All of which was great. My father-in-law said they were the best meatballs he ever had. There was plenty of parking. It's a nice building with a nice interior. We did not sit at the bar but it looks nice too. There is a nice outdoor seating area with a fountain and running water.
The brunch was delish! Great selection even with the social distancing and new guidelines. Can't wait to go back!
Picked a place on our drive into the city. Delicious! My husband and I shared the fettuccini alfredo and still had leftovers. The toasted cheese ravioli was great!Service was wonderful.
Had a wonderful time. The food is amazing and the staff is super sweet. I cant wait to go back.
My family gathered for Sunday brunch and we had a wonderful time. The food was great and our server was fantastic. The only downfall was that I ate too much... My fault, but the food was so good I didn't want to stop. Be aware when you go for Sunday brunch you will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in one. Enjoy
To me it was an avg Italian restaurant, nothing special. Decor and feel was nice, staff was very friendly with great service. To me not a place I'm and dying to go back to..as dont feel I got my bang for my buck as food was just average and not something that left me wanting more.
We absolutely love V’s food. We have been coming here for 30 plus years. Kansas City gem. I disagree totally with Lindsays review. Cafe Verona is good but V’s is the real deal. Just ask V.
We've been going here annually (sometimes 2x's a year) and we love it! We have recently had our names on a plaque with our marriage date for all to see. (At Booth #5) it's a tradition we're glad to have & want to continue for years to come.
My husband and I have always come here for any special occasion. Even used V's catering for our daughter's wedding. Last night we called in a pick up order for the first time (always dined in). Every request I made was wrong (wrong dressing for our salads, wrong bread, wrong pasta for my side. And both meals were cold. Not just room temp from the drive. Like straight from the refrigerator cold. Very disappointed.
We have enjoyed V’s for years but they obviously don’t care about their customers, the bar was packed with people not wearing a mask, there was a party going on down stairs, still no social distancing. They obviously are packing people in as usual with no regard for Covid-19. I felt like going home and taking a bath. Very disappointed, a scary place to be, we will not be back!
My husband and I frequent Cafe Verona which is a much better quality restaurant. We found a good coupon online and decided to give this place a try. If you use the coupon, you cannot get the happy hour special, which they tell you after you’ve ordered. The price would not be a frustration if the food was good for what you pay. It’s Americanized Italian food, with overcooked pasta and without many spices. Take my advice and go to Cafe Verona on the square. Their food is worlds better- better ingredients cooked the right way.
I am in awe of how Greg and The Crew have been handling business during this time. Unmatched customer care from all! I have had a drive-by Caesar salad with that creamy Caesar house-made dressing to go. I have had lasagne. I have devoured the spaghetti & meatballs-complete with a side of “Totta” sausage! Thank you for being consistent and lovely folks. This has been a lifesaving restaurant for a lot of us and I cannot thank you enough for that. The quality of the food has been superb! The preparation of the food has been superb. The punctuality of the food has been amazing! All these qualities are what you want no matter the circumstance and you guys have delivered time and time again. Bravo! *Tip them well y’all!*Excellent fried lobster tail!
Worst Sunday Buffet I’ve ever eaten. Brought 10 people, had 7 or 8 items, mostly cold food. Imagine Eggs Benedict without hollandaise sauce. Fatty we rush bacon and what looked to be powdered eggs, not sure about that. Go to zcinzetti’s when it opens. Never eat here, it was really that bad
